Bon Voyage!!

The time has come. The goodbyes are done. The U-Haul is packed. The moon shines it's light over Winnipeg one last time.

And I'm ready to go.

After 8 months of planning, my sister and I are finally heading to the West Coast. We'll be hittin' the highway at about four in the afternoon, and will be driving the prairies through the night. The tentative plan is to arrive in Calgary as the sun rises, make our way through the mountains during the day, and finally, arrive at our destination, the beautiful city of Vancouver, by six in the evening.

As soon as I've got internet out there (which hopefully won't take longer than a week), I'll let you all know how the insane 24 hour drive went, and how the city has treated us our first few days.

Until then, PRAY THAT I MAKE IT!!!

P.S. I'll leave you with Britney's new track, "3" - a song about threesomes and living in sin. Oh that Britney, such a virtuous gal'.

Pitbull ft. Nicole Scherzinger - Hotel Room Service (Remix)

This song is FIRE!!

It's a remix of Hotel Room Service by Pitbull, this time featuring Nicole Scherzinger. I've come to the conclusion that nearly every track that has Nicole Sherzinger featured on it is guaranteed to be good!

Check it out below!

Jason Derulo - Whatcha Say

Thanks to my friend Jeff (over at Just Jeffrey), I've discovered this beauty. The song is called Whatcha Say, and it's by Jason Derulo. The hook samples Imogen Heap's "Hide & Seek" (already a very catchy song), and I've got this one on repeat. At this rate, I'll probably be sick of it by the end of the weekend!

Dust in the Wind

Madonna - Revolver

Another new track from Madonna has leaked. A demo for this song leaked a while back, but I'm feeling Madonna's version. A bit more pop sounding, and very reminiscent of the Hard Candy album.

Enjoy. :)

Madonna - It's So Cool

New Itunes Bonus track from Madonna.

Didn't like this song at first, but it's growing on me. Hope to hear some remixes soon....

My Days in Winnipeg are FINALLY Coming to an End!

My new home.

Hey everyone!

So yesterday I got back from my 3 day trip to Vancouver. LOTS TO COVER.

First of all, my mission was to find an apartment, and check out my new Starbucks: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

My new store is at Dawson and Gilmore (as a reminder, I just think "Dawson's Creek" & "Gilmore Girls" - what?) and it's totally awesome. It's located in Brentwood, which is an area in North Burnaby. It's a beautiful store with some great staff that I'm super pumped to get to know. It also happens to be a stones throw away from my new apartment.

My apartment is basically unreal. OMA, otherwise known as "One Madison Avenue", is situated a block away from my new Starbucks store. It's a beautiful 20-something high rise, and is almost too good to be true. It's a 2 bed 2 bath, and the building houses an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and gym. You better believe I'm expecting people to come visit me, as I need to make use of these amenities!!

The trip itself was quite stressful at first, as we had been turned down by a couple landlords due to inadequate finances. But then we met our new landlord, a sweet, older gentleman who owns the unit who was very understanding of our situation, and my sister and I were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Although I can't be happier about what's to come for me in Vancouver, I have to admit, I'm really struggling with the reality of the next few days. I'll be saying goodbye to a lot of people I love. Some who are co-workers I see every day, others who are friends I see on the weekends, but all are people that are going to be difficult to leave behind. I really do cherish my time I've spent with you all, and I sincerely hope I see you all again. And if there's any one piece of advice I can leave for all of you, it's this: whatever it is that you've longed for all your life, don't let the opportunity to experience it pass you by.

So now, with just over a week left in Winnipeg, I've gotta say that I'm glad I finally made this choice. A choice I've known for a long time that I'd eventually have to make. A choice that would determine the trajectory of the rest of my life.

My life in Vancouver (and not in GOD-FORSAKEN WINNIPEG!).

Vancouver, here I come!

I'm off to Vancouver for the next few days to find a new apartment.

Wish me luck!

p.s. Sorry for the lack of music, the music industry, in my opinion, has been pretty dry the past week. I'll hopefully start posting again next week!

Jay Sean - Down

"Baby are you down down down down down?"

I am OBSESSED with this song right now. I've got it on heavy rotation. And the guy singing is HOT (and I'm definitely not talking about Lil' Wayne - Yuck!).

Kylie Minogue - Chiggy Wiggy

Here's a song by Kylie Minogue from some Bollywood movie called Blue. It's actually pretty catchy and I've found myself replaying it like 10 times in a row. Check it out, and then Chiggy Wiggy with me!

Cheryl Cole - Fight for This Love

Cheryl Cole from the British girl group, Girls Aloud, will be coming out with her first solo effort this year, and her lead single Fight for This Love has proven (after several plays) to be a great start to her solo career. It may not be a powerful ballad or a surefire pop hit, but it's a nice mid tempo jam that suits her voice very well.

Check out the song below.

Miley Cyrus - When I Look at You

Check out this fantastic new ballad from Miley Cyrus titled When I Look at You (her upcoming single after Party in the USA). This girls voice sure is maturing. Beautiful.

Great new song from Cassie!! I love this girl, I just wish she would promote herself for once and gain some popularity. Check it out below!

Leona Lewis - Happy

Here's Leona Lewis' new single. It's not bad, but I think it'll grow on me.

Natalie Imbruglia - Want

Remember Natalie Imbruglia? Apparently she still has a successful singing career, which I'm grateful for, as I do enjoy her music very much. :)

Here's her latest single, Want. Check it out below!

Carrie Underwood - Cowboy Casanova

Carrie Underwood's back with a new track, her lead single from her upcoming album, Play On, which comes out next month.

I'm enjoying this track. It's not quite Before He Cheats, but still pretty good. Check it out below!

Now To Slow Things Down...New Music From Jojo and The Saturdays

Jojo - Forever in My Life

Well, it seems Jojo's finally getting back on top of her musical career and possibly releasing an album in the near future. Here's a song that might possibly be from her upcoming album. It's a beautiful ballad, and her voice has definitely matured in the past few years. Check it out below.

The Saturdays - Forever is Over

I can't even begin to describe my love for The Saturdays. This British girl pop group is simply astounding, and I haven't disliked a single song from them yet! Check out Forever is Over below, a mid-tempo power ballad the girls have released as a first single from their upcoming album.
